Ugly Duckling Workshops and Ugly Duckling Series are open to courses, publications and talks from professionals, authors, speakers and other experts. Every submission is reviewed by hand, and nothing is accepted without approval.
Who may submit
- ProfessionalsLicensed clinicians and healing-arts practitioners with a course or a publication in mind.
- AuthorsWriters with a book or a workbook that fits the series.
- Speakers and expertsPeople who would teach a live session or lead a course for the workshops.
How it works
- ProposeFill in the form below with a short description of you and your idea. It takes about ten minutes.
- ReviewA. Damianakis reads every proposal by hand. If it fits, you will be asked for an outline and a sample lesson or chapter.
- AgreementBefore anything is built, we sign a short written agreement that sets your share of each sale, the term, and who does what.
- BuildYour course is set up lesson by lesson on Ugly Duckling Workshops, with nothing to download. Live sessions start on the hour, Eastern time.
- LaunchYour course is listed on the site with your own instructor page, and you invite your own readers and clients to it.
What you keep, what you get
- Your work stays yoursYou keep ownership of your content. Ugly Duckling Workshops hosts and sells it for the term of the agreement.
- Sales you bring: you keep 97%When a learner buys through your own link or code, you receive 97% of the net sale.
- Sales we bring: you keep 37%When a learner finds your course through Ugly Duckling Workshops, our newsletters or our ads, you receive 37% of the net sale. Net sale means the price paid, less platform and payment-processing fees, taxes, refunds and chargebacks. Paid monthly, 30 days after the month closes.
- Learners stay protectedLearner names, emails and messages are never shared with instructors, and instructors agree not to contact or solicit learners outside the classroom.
- Your own instructor pageA page with your name, your bio and a link to your website or Substack.
- A ready audienceYour course is shown to Ugly Duckling Workshops learners and to members of Ugly Duckling Academy.
